When it comes to creating Design that rocks, creativity is key.
Opening your mind to the possibilities–letting go of what you know and what you think you know. For many, how to open your mind is the question. How do I let go of what I know? How do I look beyond what I see? To those with these or similar questions….the answer is Inspiration.
Simply ask yourself what inspires you? Make a list. Write them down. Don’t TYPE them on a computer-WRITE THEM DOWN. White piece of paper…#2 pencil in hand…and write. Look at the words as your hand creates them…..feel what it is about what you are writing that is inspiring you….and just write. When you are done, review your list. Find the one thing on the list that inspires you the most…and do it. Do it as often, as consistently as you can. This will open your mind…open it to a level where you allow yourself to think creatively.
Go ahead and try it. You will see it’s true. I have an amazing inspiration…..and it continually leads me to a level of creativity that IS design that rocks. Some will like my inspiration, some will love, and many will hate, laugh or scorn-and thats ok. What inspires me, may not inspire others….but I bet it does…..
